If your covered building was previously set up in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager:
The quickest solution is to contact your former colleague to ask that they transfer the properties to your ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager account (Help Desk Article). If the property's meters are already synced to MGE MyMeter, you must be connected to Madison Gas and Electric Company (MGE_Benchmarking) in ESPM before the property transfer to leave the meter sharing intact.
If you are unable to contact this individual, you may submit a request to EPA to transfer the property on your former colleague's behalf (ESPM Help Desk Resource).
If your covered building has already been claimed in the Building Owner Portal:
Contact your colleague and ask them to un-claim the building by following the steps outlined in this article (How do I un-claim a building?).
If you cannot contact this individual, or if you believe your covered building was claimed by somebody else in error, please submit a ticket to the Madison BESP Help Desk for 'Help using the Building Owner Portal'.
For more assistance, please contact the Help Desk by submitting a new ticket.
