If your property is flagged with an error, it is either a Setup Error or a Data Error.
Setup Error
If you receive a notification/email that there is a Setup Error with one of your properties, it means you need to complete one or more of the following steps:
Add your Madison Building ID to your ESPM Property in the field ‘Standard ID - City/ Town’
(For help, review the article “Add & Set up your property - Step 4")
Add the City of Madison as a contact on ESPM
(For help, review the article "Share your properties with the City of Madison”)
Share your property on ESPM with the City of Madison with Full Access
(For help, review the article "Share your properties with the City of Madison”)
Once the above steps complete, select your property with a Setup Error, click to Restart the Setup Process, follow the instructions and then click to Submit your data.
Your property’s status will be updated to ‘In Review’ while the Madison BESP verifies your re-submission.
Data Error
If a Data Error is detected in the property data or energy use data, your property will be flagged with a notification ‘Revisions Requested’ in the Building Owner Portal. To fix this, follow the steps below:
Run the Data Quality Checker on ESPM and correct all errors
(For help, review the article “Use the data quality checker to check your data for issues and correct any errors”)
Run the Data Quality Checker on ESPM a second time to verify that all errors have been resolved
Once the above steps complete, select your property with a Data Error (flagged with ‘Revisions Requested’ and then click to Resubmit your data.
Your property’s status will be updated to ‘In Review’ while the Madison BESP verifies your re-submission.
